About SALOMÉ STELLA ROBICHAUD

From an early age I knew that art would play a major role in my life. I was fortunate that I grew up in an environment that fostered and supported all forms of creative expression. My mind was rarely quiet unless I was in creative mode-I was always drawing, making crafts, singing or making up stories. And it’s still like this.

I was the kid who was always drawing on myself and my friends. I was enthralled with body art. I grew up in a conservative household where tattoos or getting a tattoo was not talked about . In fact, I don’t recall knowing a single person with a tattoo until my teens. At the age of 16, I accompanied my buddy to get his first tattoo and I knew immediately this is what I wanted to do as a career!

I’ve learned so much about art over the years. I attended the Alberta University of the Arts where I honed my artistic abilities in drawing, painting and working with a variety of mediums. As I took some time off to raise 3 beautiful boys (including a set of twins), I never let my art die. I created, baked and designed custom cakes that even landed me an opportunity to showcase my skills on the Food Network Canada.

Even though I was a busy mom, I couldn’t ignore that strong pull towards tattooing. There was a loud persistent voice screaming at me to go after my dream. Over the years, with help of my personal tattoo artist, mentors and tons of practice, I am proud to be an accomplished tattoo artist. My passion for tattooing has now evolved into my full-time career and I couldn’t be happier! Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing the faces of my clients light up when they first see their new tattoos.

I enjoy doing many different styles of tattoo; but my preferred tattooing projects are semi-realistic and surreal illustrations of people and animals in color or black and grey. I love pretty things but equally like dark and creepy themed projects. When it comes to tattoos, I am always up for a challenge and strive to ensure my clients are 100% happy with their completed work.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my loved ones, meeting new people, dancing, the outdoors, music, traveling, reading, laughing, and simply exploring this jaw-dropping amazing life.
